Recently I have purchased a generator from Duropower or the Dexin International company and thought that it was a great deal for the product, little did I know that their service is a complete nightmare
Towards the end of June I purchased a DP2000s model generator from this company and recieved it in pretty adequate time. I used it for over a month occasionally on my Chris Craft cruiser a night or two a week out on the lake. Last month it just started smoking from the exhaust and quit. At first I thought great, it is under warranty, but as I have later found out that the warranty must be imaginary since it sure as hell isn't real.
Right now I have been trying to get through to customer service to get something done about it. On the first call I got right through to their customer service representative who told me that she would have to e-mail here engineer with symptoms before they could help me. A couple of days went by and I did not hear a thing from them. So I called back and could not get any help and kept calling leaving messages and everything else. After about a week the customer service rep called me back to say that she had heard nothing from him yet but, she would get with the owner of the company and get this resolved. Two more days pass and I finally get an e-mail stating that engineer said that it sounded like I spilt oil on the engine and that it was smoking from that. Bullshit!!!! The smoke was coming straight from the exhaust pipe as I mentioned to them in the beginning. Since then I cannot get a hold of anyone and the receptionist barely understands any English at all. At this point I am beginning to think that I am out about $400 dollars.
So please if you have ran across this blog while shopping, don't do business with this company! They have a score of F on the Better Business Bureau's website and I have ran into several other complaints on line concerning this company also! I would love to hear other experiences and advice from anyone else dealing with this unethical business!
